The Montgomery Democratic Organization would like to encourage our members and supporters to give to local charities during this difficult economic time.  At our last meeting, the members of the MDO decided to support our neighbors at the Crawford House.The Crawford House located in Montgomery on Sunset Road is a transitional housing and treatment program for adult women aged 18 years and over, in early recovery who are indigent and homeless. Crawford House not only provides physical, emotional and spiritual healing in a safe and mutually-supportive community, but also provides these women with the education, treatment and knowledge of how to use community support systems so they may achieve and maintain a substance-free lifestyle.

The residents at Crawford House support themselves financially by taking temporary work during their stay and due to the Covid-19 pandemic, most have lost their jobs due to layoffs.  Additionally, the Crawford House fundraising efforts have been impacted by this pandemic as they are not able to host their normal events.   Please consider donating to the Crawford house here at  https://www.classy.org/fundraiser/2739919.
